Why Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation Matters More Than the Rash in Skin of Color

For many people with skin of color, the most distressing part of a skin condition is not the rash itself but what lingers after it fades. Dark spots, uneven tone, or areas of lightened skin can persist long after acne, eczema, or dermatitis has improved.
